Middle Eastern Studies
Welcome to the website for Middle Eastern Studies (MESTU) at Penn State University. The Middle Eastern Studies Committee at Penn State is made up of faculty members from across the university. All of us have professional interests in the study of the Middle East region, ranging from West Africa to Afghanistan. In addition to offering students the opportunity to minor in Middle Eastern Studies, we sponsor lectures and host an annual "Food and Film" event. We also administer the Shibley Award for study of the Middle East.
